Arrows on the Schematic – Knitting Direction
Cast on 144-150 stitches and work in Stockinette Stitch.
While working, drop 2 stitches after every 9 stitches across the fabric.
After 37.8-39.4 in (96-100 cm) = 320-340 rows from the cast-on edge, bind off all stitches.
Finishing:
Sew the upper and lower seams, leaving an opening at the top for the neckline and 19.7-23.6 in (50-60 cm) at the bottom for the ribbing band.
Then work Ribbing Pattern 1/1 to a height of 6.3 in (16 cm) = 70 rows and a width of 120 stitches.
Sew the ribbing band to the main piece.
Crochet the sleeve edges with 1 round of single crochet and 1 round of crab stitch.
Using 4 strands of yarn held together, crochet 4 chains measuring 39.4 in (1 m) each.
Thread the resulting cords through the sleeve edges and tie into bows.
