Cardigan with Seed Stitch and Cable Pattern

How to knit the cardigan with the Seed Stitch and Cable Pattern:
Size: US 8 / UK 10.
Materials:
600 g variegated yarn in green tones (60% wool, 40% acrylic, 87 yd/50 g), knitting needles size US 10 (UK 4 / 6 mm), crochet hook size G/6 (UK 8 / 4 mm), 3 buttons, 3 snap fasteners.

Ribbing Pattern (2x2): Work *2 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches*, repeat from * to *.
Seed Stitch Pattern:
Row 1: *Purl 1, knit 1*, repeat from * to *.
Rows 2 and 4: Work the stitches as they appear.
Row 3: *Knit 1, purl 1*, repeat from * to *.
Repeat Rows 1–4 throughout.

Cable Pattern:
Work according to the chart, which shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Repeat Rows 1–12 throughout.

Back:
Cast on 74 stitches and work in the Double Ribbing Pattern.
When the piece measures 8 cm (3 in) from the cast-on edge, continue in Seed Stitch.
When the piece measures 51 cm (20 in) from the cast-on edge, shape the armholes by binding off 3 stitches at each side, then 2 stitches twice, and 1 stitch twice.
When the piece measures 68 cm (26¾ in) from the cast-on edge, bind off the center 16 stitches for the neck and finish each side separately.
For neck shaping, bind off 2 stitches once and 1 stitch once at the neck edge every other row.
When the piece measures 71 cm (28 in), bind off the remaining stitches.

Right Front:
Cast on 50 stitches and work as follows: 1 edge stitch, 7 stitches in Seed Stitch, 23 stitches in Cable Pattern, 18 stitches in Double Ribbing Pattern, 1 edge stitch.
When the piece measures 8 cm (3 in) from the cast-on edge, replace the Ribbing Pattern with Seed Stitch, keeping the rest of the pattern unchanged.
Work straight.
When the piece measures 48 cm (19 in), for the turn-down collar, increase 1 stitch 7 times at the left edge every 10th row (make the increases after the 7 Seed Stitch stitches).
Work the added stitches in Seed Stitch.
When the piece measures 51 cm (20 in), for the armhole, bind off 3 stitches at the left edge, then 2 stitches twice and 1 stitch twice every other row.
When the piece measures 71 cm (28 in), bind off 17 stitches for the shoulder and continue the collar.
When the piece measures 79 cm (31 in), bind off all stitches.

Left Front:
Work as the right front, reversing all shaping.

Sleeves:
Cast on 43 stitches and work as follows: 1 edge stitch, 8 stitches in Ribbing Pattern, 23 stitches in Cable Pattern, 8 stitches in Double Ribbing Pattern, 1 edge stitch.
When the piece measures 8 cm (3 in) from the cast-on edge, replace the Double Ribbing Pattern with Seed Stitch, keeping the rest unchanged.
For sleeve shaping, increase 1 stitch at each side every 7th row 8 times, then every 4th row 4 times.
When the piece measures 44 cm (17¼ in), for the sleeve cap, bind off 3 stitches at each side, then 1 stitch 11 times and 3 stitches once every other row.
When the piece measures 58 cm (22¾ in), bind off the remaining stitches.
Work the second sleeve in the same way.

Finishing:
Sew the shoulder seams.
Sew the collar to the neckline of the back and close the collar seam.
Sew the side seams.
Set in the sleeves and sew the sleeve seams.

With the crochet hook, edge the collar with arches made of 5 double crochets each.
Work 1 row of reverse single crochet (crab stitch) along the collar edge.
From the remaining yarn, crochet a chain of puff stitches and sew it neatly along the collar edge.
Sew the buttons to the left front and the snap fasteners behind the buttons on the wrong side.
Sew the matching parts of the snap fasteners to the right front.
