Fantasy Pattern Pullover with 3/4 Sleeves
How to work a pullover with a fantasy pattern:  
Size: US 8–10 / UK 10–12  
Materials:  
Approx. 460 g yarn (100% acrylic, 200 m/100 g). Knitting needles size 5 mm (US 8 / UK 6) and 4.5 mm (US 7 / UK 7).  
Garter stitch: work all rows in knit stitch.  
Work following the chart, which shows only the right-side rows.  
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear and purl the yarn overs.  
The pattern repeat is 17 stitches wide.  
Repeat the pattern repeat continuously between the edge stitches.  
In height, repeat rows 1 to 14 continuously.  
Gauge:  
in Fantasy pattern with needles size 5 mm: 15 stitches = 10 cm.  
Back:  
With needles size 5 mm, cast on 70 stitches and work 3 garter ridges (6 rows) in garter stitch.  
Continue in fantasy stitch pattern following the chart, beginning and ending with 1 knit stitch.  
When the piece measures 69 cm in total height, bind off all stitches loosely.  
Front:  
Work as for the back, but with a neck opening.  
To shape the neck, when the piece measures 60 cm from the cast-on edge, bind off the central 16 stitches and, on each side, bind off 2 times 3 stitches and 1 time 2 stitches.  
When the piece measures 69 cm in total height, bind off the remaining 19 stitches for each shoulder.  
Sleeves:  
With needles size 5 mm, cast on 53 stitches and work 6 cm in garter stitch.  
Continue in fantasy stitch pattern following the chart.  
When the piece measures 28 cm in total height, shape the sleeve cap by binding off 3 stitches at the beginning of each row on both sides 4 times, then bind off the remaining 29 stitches.

Finishing:  
Sew one shoulder seam.  
With needles size 5 mm, pick up 76 stitches around the neckline of the front and back from the right side of the work.  
Work 4 rows in garter stitch, change to needles size 4.5 mm, work 2 rows, then bind off all stitches loosely.  
Sew the second shoulder seam and the seam of the neckband.  
Sew the side seams, leaving an opening of 20 cm on each side for the armholes.  
Sew the sleeve seams and set in the sleeves, matching the center of the sleeve to the shoulder seam.
