Fantasy Pattern Sweater

How to knit a fantasy pattern sweater:
Size: UK 14/16, US 10/12.
Materials:
500 g yarn (100% acrylic, 200 m/100 g). Knitting needles size 4 mm and 5 mm (US sizes 6 and 8). Circular needles size 4 mm (US 6), 60 cm long.

Ribbing Pattern (1x1): Knit 1, *purl 1, knit 1*, repeat from *.

Fantasy Pattern: Number of stitches is a multiple of 6 + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Work according to the chart.
Begin with 1 edge stitch and 2 stitches before the pattern repeat, repeat the 6-stitch pattern throughout, end with 5 stitches after the repeat and 1 edge stitch.
In height, repeat rows 1–18 continuously.

Gauge:
Fantasy pattern, needles size 5 mm (US 8) = 18 stitches × 26 rows = 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4 in).

Back:
Cast on 91 stitches using 4 mm (US 6) needles and work in Ribbing Pattern (1x1).
After 5 cm (2 in) from the beginning, switch to 5 mm (US 8) needles and continue working in the fantasy pattern according to the chart.
When the piece measures 52 cm (20½ in) from the beginning, bind off all stitches.

Front:
Work as for the back until the piece measures 46 cm (18 in) from the beginning.
For the neckline, bind off the center 11 stitches and finish each side separately.
At the neck edge, bind off in every second row: 4 stitches once, 3 stitches once, 2 stitches once, and 1 stitch once.
When the piece measures 52 cm (20½ in) from the beginning, bind off all stitches.

Sleeves:
Cast on 36 stitches using 4 mm (US 6) needles and work in Ribbing Pattern (1x1).
After 5 cm (2 in) from the beginning, switch to 5 mm (US 8) needles and continue working in the fantasy pattern according to the chart.
For sleeve shaping, increase 1 stitch on each side every 10th row (9 times total = 18 stitches).
When the sleeve measures 45 cm (17¾ in) from the beginning, bind off all stitches.

Finishing:
Sew shoulder seams.
Using circular needles, pick up 78 stitches around the neckline on the right side and work in Ribbing Pattern (1x1).
After 3 cm (1¼ in) from the beginning of the ribbing, bind off all stitches.
Sew in the sleeves. Sew the side and sleeve seams.
