Lace Pattern Sweater
How to knit the Lace Pattern Sweater:
Size: M (US 8–10 / UK 12–14)
Materials:
300 g of yarn (100% acrylic, 200 m/100 g), knitting needles size 8 (US) / 5 mm (UK).
Garter Stitch: work all rows knit.
Lace Pattern:
Row 1: knit 1, * knit 2 together, yarn over, knit 1; repeat from *, knit 1.
Rows 2 and 4: purl all stitches.
Row 3: knit 2, * knit 2 together, yarn over; repeat from *, knit 1.
Repeat these 4 rows throughout the pattern.
Gauge: 14 stitches × 20 rows = 10 × 10 cm / 4 × 4 in.
Front and Back:
Cast on 56 stitches and work 2 cm / ¾ in in garter stitch.
Continue in the lace pattern.
When the work measures 56 cm / 22 in from the cast-on edge, work 2 cm / ¾ in in garter stitch and bind off all stitches.
Sleeves:
Cast on 35 stitches and work 2 cm / ¾ in in garter stitch.
Continue in the lace pattern.
When the work measures 11 cm / 4¼ in, work in garter stitch.
At 14 cm / 5½ in, work in the lace pattern again.
At 20 cm / 8 in, work in garter stitch.
At 22 cm / 8¾ in, return to the lace pattern.
At the same time, for sleeve shaping, after 3 cm / 1¼ in from the beginning, increase 1 stitch on each side every 10th row 10 times.
When the work measures 47 cm / 18½ in, bind off all stitches.Finishing:
Sew the shoulder seams 7 cm / 2¾ in from each edge, leaving the central 26 cm / 10¼ in open for the neckline.
Set in the sleeves 20 cm / 8 in from each shoulder seam.
Sew the side seams and sleeve seams.
