How to knit the lace pullover with short sleeves:
Sizes: US 8–10, UK 10–12.
Materials:
200 g yarn (100% cotton; 400 m/100 g); circular needles size 1.5 mm (US 000, UK 17).
Stockinette Stitch: Right Side Rows – knit stitches, Wrong Side Rows – purl stitches.
Ribbing Pattern: *1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch*, repeat.
Lace Pattern:
Work according to the chart, which shows only Right Side Rows.
On Wrong Side Rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Begin with 1 edge stitch, repeat the pattern repeat continuously, end with 9 stitches after the repeat and 1 edge stitch.
In height, repeat rows 1–16 continuously.
Gauge:
In Lace Pattern: 30 stitches x 33 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Pullover body (worked in one piece for back and front):
Cast on 240 stitches on circular needles, join in the round and work 6 rows in Ribbing Pattern.
Then work 111 rows in Lace Pattern (= 12 pattern repeats).
In row 118 from the beginning, divide the work into two equal parts of 6 pattern repeats each.
Back: 6 pattern repeats (120 stitches).
For the armholes, in row 119 from the beginning, bind off 9.5 stitches on each side = 101 stitches.
Then continue straight in Lace Pattern for 47 rows.
For the neckline, in row 167 from the beginning, bind off the center 51 stitches = 25 stitches remain.
In row 183 from the beginning, bind off all stitches.
Work the left shoulder in the same way.
Front: 6 pattern repeats (120 stitches).
For the armholes, in row 119 from the beginning, bind off 9.5 stitches on each side = 101 stitches.
Then continue straight in Lace Pattern for 31 rows.
For the neckline, in row 151 from the beginning, bind off the center 51 stitches = 25 stitches remain.
In row 183 from the beginning, bind off all stitches.
Work the left shoulder in the same way.
Sleeves:
Sew the shoulder seam.
Along the armhole edge, pick up 111 stitches with circular needles size 1.5 mm (US 000, UK 17).
Distribute the stitches as follows: 1 edge stitch, 100 stitches Lace Pattern (5 repeats), 9 stitches after the repeat (for symmetry), 1 edge stitch.
Work 48 rows in Lace Pattern, then 6 rows in Ribbing Pattern.
In row 55 from the beginning, bind off all stitches.
Finishing:
Sew the side seams and sleeve seams.
Along the neckline edge, pick up 156 stitches, work 6 rows in Ribbing Pattern, then bind off all stitches.
