Lace Sweater with Leaf Pattern

How to knit the lace sweater with leaf pattern:
Sizes: 40/42 (EU) = S/M (UK 10/12, US 6/8) and 44/46 (EU) = M/L (UK 14/16, US 10/12).
Materials:
650 (700) g yarn (50% cotton, 50% viscose; 110 m/50 g ≈ 120 yd/1.76 oz). Needles size 2.5 mm (US 1–2) and 3.5 mm (US 4); crochet hook 3 mm (US C/2).

Ribbing Pattern, needles 2.5 mm: multiple of 3 stitches + 2 edge stitches.
Row 1 (wrong side): 1 edge stitch, * knit 1, purl 1, knit 1, repeat from *, 1 edge stitch.
Then on all rows work the stitches as they appear.
Stockinette Stitch: right-side rows knit stitches, wrong-side rows purl stitches.
Reverse Stockinette Stitch: right-side rows purl stitches, wrong-side rows knit stitches.
Garter Stitch: knit all stitches on right-side and wrong-side rows.
Checker Pattern (main pattern I), needles 3.5 mm:
Rows 1–4: alternate 4 stitches Stockinette Stitch and 4 stitches Reverse Stockinette Stitch.
Rows 5–8: alternate 4 stitches Reverse Stockinette Stitch and 4 stitches Stockinette Stitch.
Repeat Rows 1–8 throughout.
Lace Pattern (main pattern II), needles 3.5 mm:
Work according to chart 1, which shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Repeat Rows 1–20 throughout.
Leaf Pattern (main pattern III), needles 3.5 mm:
Work according to chart 1, which shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Repeat Rows 1–10 throughout.
Main Pattern IV:
Row 1: * knit 5, yarn over, knit 1, slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over, knit 1, knit 2 together, knit 1, yarn over, repeat from *.
On wrong-side rows purl all stitches and yarn overs.
Repeat these 2 rows throughout.


Gauge: 22 stitches x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches).

Back:
Cast on 110 (119) stitches and work 6 cm (2.4 inches) in Ribbing Pattern, increasing evenly 17 (18) stitches in the last row = 127 (137) stitches.
Then work 16 rows main pattern I, 20 rows main pattern II, 8 rows Garter Stitch, 20 rows main pattern III, 8 rows Garter Stitch, then finish with main pattern IV.
Work main pattern II as follows: 1 edge stitch, 5 repeats over 25 (27) stitches, 1 edge stitch.
Work main pattern III as follows: 1 edge stitch, 5 stitches Reverse Stockinette Stitch, 5 repeats over 23 (25) stitches, 5 stitches Reverse Stockinette Stitch, 1 edge stitch.
Work main pattern IV as follows: 1 edge stitch, 10 repeats (from stitch 2 to stitch 12 of the repeat and 10 repeats), from stitch 1 to stitch 5 (from stitch 1 to stitch 4) of the repeat, 1 edge stitch.
At a height of 58 (59) cm (22.8–23.2 inches), bind off the middle 29 stitches for the neckline, then on both sides bind off 2 times 3 stitches every second row.
At a height of 60 (61) cm (23.6–24 inches), bind off the remaining shoulder stitches.
Front:
Work as for the back, but at a height of 52 (53) cm (20.5–20.9 inches), bind off the middle 13 stitches for the neckline, then on both sides bind off every second row 2 times 3 stitches, 2 times 2 stitches and 4 times 1 stitch.
At a height of 60 (61) cm (23.6–24 inches), bind off the remaining shoulder stitches.
Sleeves:
Cast on 44 (47) stitches and work 6 cm (2.4 inches) in Ribbing Pattern, increasing evenly 25 (26) stitches in the last row = 69 (73) stitches.
Then work main pattern IV, working Row 1 as follows: 1 edge stitch, from stitch 6 (4) to stitch 12 of the repeat, 5 repeats (5 repeats plus stitch 1 and 2 of the repeat), 1 edge stitch.
For shaping increase on both sides every 6th row 8 times 1 stitch, then alternately every 4th and 6th row 14 times 1 stitch = 113 (117) stitches.
At a height of 45 cm (17.7 inches), bind off all stitches.
Finishing:
Sew shoulder seams.
Work the neckline with 1 round single crochet stitches and 1 round crab stitch (work single crochet from left to right).
Sew side seams and sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.
