Long Sweater with Lace Cable Pattern

How to knit the long sweater with lace cable pattern:
Sizes: EU 38/40 (42/44) = UK 10/12 (14/16), US 6/8 (10/12)
Materials:
700 (800) g yarn (50% cotton, 50% acrylic, 142 yd/50 g); straight needles US 4 and US 6; circular needles US 4.
Ribbing Pattern, needles US 4: work alternately 1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch.
Stockinette stitch, needles US 6: right-side rows – knit stitches, wrong-side rows – purl stitches.
Lace cable pattern, needles US 6: number of stitches is a multiple of 21 + 14.
Work according to chart, which shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work stitches as they appear or as indicated, purl the yarn overs.
Repeat the pattern repeat, finish with stitches up to arrow A.
Repeat rows 1 through 12.
Gauge:
Stockinette stitch: 25 stitches and 30.5 rows = 4 x 4 inches (10 x 10 cm);
Cable pattern: 98 stitches = 14.5 inches (37 cm) width.


Back:
Cast on 130 (140) stitches and work 1.5 inches (4 cm) in Ribbing Pattern, increasing evenly 20 stitches in the last row = 150 (160) stitches.
Then work as follows: edge stitch, 25 (30) stitches in stockinette stitch, 98 stitches in lace cable pattern, 25 (30) stitches in stockinette stitch, edge stitch.
At 24.5 inches (62 cm) = 188 rows from ribbing, bind off the middle 32 stitches for the neckline and finish both sides separately.
For shaping, bind off at the inner edge every 2nd row 2 times 5 stitches.
At 25 inches (64 cm) = 194 rows from ribbing, bind off the remaining 49 (54) shoulder stitches on each side.
Front:
Work as for the back, but with a deeper neckline.
For this, at 22.5 inches ( 57 cm) = 174 rows from ribbing, bind off the middle 20 stitches and for shaping bind off every 2nd row 1 time 5 stitches, 1 time 4 stitches, 1 time 3 stitches and 4 times 1 stitch.
Sleeves:
Cast on 50 (54) stitches and work 1.5 inches (4 cm) in Ribbing Pattern, increasing evenly 10 (11) stitches in the last row = 60 (65) stitches.
Then work in stockinette stitch.
For sleeve shaping, increase on both sides from ribbing every 4th row 25 times 1 stitch and every 2nd row 10 times 1 stitch = 130 (135) stitches.
At 15.75 inches (40 cm) = 152 rows from ribbing, bind off all stitches.
Finishing:
Join shoulder seams.
Join side seams, leaving the top 10.25 (10.75) inches (26 (27) cm) open for armholes.
Pick up 120 stitches along the neckline with circular needles and work 1.5 inches (4 cm) in Ribbing Pattern, then bind off stitches in pattern.
Join sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.
