Openwork Tunic Knitting Pattern

How to knit the lace pattern tunic:
Size: EU 42–44 (US 10–12 / UK 14–16)
Materials:
400 g acrylic yarn (100% acrylic; 306 yds/3.5 oz); straight knitting needles US 0 (UK 14) and circular knitting needles US 0 (UK 14).

Lace Pattern:
Work according to the chart, which shows right-side rows only.
On wrong-side rows, purl all stitches and yarn overs.
Repeat Rows 1–12 throughout.

Gauge: 25 stitches and 30 rows = 4 x 4 inches (10 x 10 cm).

Back:
Cast on 128 stitches and work 2 rows in garter stitch.
Continue in the lace pattern (= 18 pattern repeats + 2 edge stitches).
At a height of 17 inches (43 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off 14 stitches at each side for the armholes = 100 stitches.
At a height of 23.5 inches (60 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off the center 28 stitches for the neckline and finish both sides separately.
For neck shaping, bind off from the inner edge in every 2nd row 2 stitches twice and 1 stitch twice.
At a height of 25.25 inches (64 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off the remaining 30 stitches of each shoulder.

Front:
Work as for the back, but with a deeper neckline.
For this, begin the neckline shaping at a height of 22.75 inches (58 cm) from the cast-on edge.

Sleeves:
Cast on 65 stitches and work 2 rows in garter stitch.
Continue in the lace pattern (= 9 pattern repeats + 2 edge stitches).
For sleeve shaping, increase 1 stitch at each side 10 times in every 2nd row and 10 times in every 4th row.
At a height of 11 inches (28 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off all stitches.

Finishing:
Sew the shoulder seams.
For the neckband, pick up 96 stitches around the neckline with the circular needle, work 5 rows in garter stitch and bind off all stitches.
Sew the side and sleeve seams. Set in the sleeves.
