Gauge: 21.5 sts and 30.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in);
Cable (over 10 sts): approx. 2.5 cm (1 in) wide.

Back:
Cast on 100 (112) sts and work 6 cm (2.4 in) in Ribbing Pattern, increasing 25 sts evenly in the last row = 125 (137) sts.
Continue in the following sequence: edge stitch, 28 (34) sts mesh pattern, 10 sts zigzag pattern, 10 sts Cable A, 27 sts lace diamonds, 10 sts Cable B, 10 sts zigzag pattern (begin with Row 13), 28 (34) sts mesh pattern, edge stitch.
After 54 cm (21.3 in) = 164 rows from ribbing, bind off the middle 29 sts for the neckline and finish both sides separately.
For shaping, bind off at the inner edge every 2nd row 1 time 3 sts and 1 time 2 sts.
After 56 cm (22 in) = 170 rows from ribbing, bind off the remaining 43 (49) sts of the shoulder.
Front:
Work as for the back, but with a deeper neckline.
For this, after 48 cm (18.9 in) = 146 rows from ribbing, bind off the middle 19 sts and for shaping at the inner edge every 2nd row bind off 1 time 4 sts, 1 time 3 sts, 1 time 2 sts and 1 time 1 st.
Bind off the remaining 43 (49) sts of the shoulder at the same height as the back.

At the same time, for sleeve shaping increase on both sides from ribbing 21 times alternately in every 4th and 6th row 1 st and incorporate the increased stitches into the mesh pattern = 112 sts.
After 36 cm (14.2 in) = 110 rows from ribbing, bind off all stitches.
