Size: Medium.
Materials:
400 g of yarn (65% Acrylic, 15% Wool, 20% Cotton, ball 150 g); knitting needles 4 mm (US 2,5).
Stocking stitch (St st): Work knit stitches in right side rows, purl stitches in wrong side rows.
Reverse stocking stitch (Rev st st): Work purl stitches in right side rows, knit stitches in wrong side rows.
Diamond Lace Pattern for Front and Back (over 61 stitches) and for Sleeves (over 21 stitches):
Work according to charts. The charts shows only Right Side rows.
On Wrong Side rows, work all stitches and yarn overs as purl stitches.
Knitting Gauge:
in St st: 17 stitches = 10 см.
Back:
Cast on 83 stitches and work as follows: 11 stitches in St st, 61 stitches in Diamond Lace Stitch, 11 stitches in St st.
After row 110, continue with lace diamonds diagonally, knitting 2 stitches together knitwise and making 1 yarn over on the right side, and making 1 yarn over and knitting 2 stitches together through the back loop on the left side. Continue knitting this way until only 1 knit stitch remains on each edge.
Continue in stockinette stitch.
When piece measures 67 cm from the beginning, bind off 23 stitches for each shoulder. For the neckline, place the center 37 stitches on hold.
Front:
Work like back, but with a deeper neckline.
When piece measures 59 cm from the beginning, bind off the center 17 stitches, then on both sides of them, bind off 5 stitches once, 3 stitches once, and 2 stitches once in every 2nd row.
When piece measures 67 cm from the beginning, bind off 23 stitches for each shoulders.
Sleeves:
Cast on 43 stitches and work as follows: 11 stitches in St st, 21 stitches in Diamond Lace Stitch, 11 stitches in St st.
For the sleeve shaping, increase 1 stitch on both sides every 8th row, 9 times = 61 stitches.
When piece measures 52 cm from the beginning, finish knitting the Lace Diamonds Pattern and bind off all stitches loosely.
Finishing:
Sew one shoulder seam.
Sew the sleeve seams and side seams, leaving a 20 cm opening for the armholes.
For the neckline band, with RS facing, pick up approximately 101 stitches around the neckline.
Work 6 rows in reverse stockinette stitch and 9 rows in stockinette stitch, then bind off all stitches loosely.
Sew the second shoulder seam and the neckline band seam, making sure the stockinette stitch section is turned outward.
Set in sleeves on each side 20 cm from the shoulder seam.
