How to knit the pullover with a V-Yoke:
Sizes: US/UK 8–10 (12–14) 16–18
Materials:
600 (650) 700 g of yarn (55% cotton, 45% acrylic; 98 yards / 50 g [approx. 90 meters / 50 g]);
straight needles size 9 (5.5 mm) and circular needles size 8 (5 mm) [US sizes].
Ribbing pattern: * Knit 1 stitch, purl 1 stitch *, repeat from * to *.
Leaf pattern: Number of stitches multiple of 12 + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Work according to the chart, which shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work all stitches as they appear and purl all yarn overs.
Begin with 1 edge stitch and the 6 stitches before the pattern repeat, repeat the 12-stitch pattern, and end with the 7 stitches after arrow A and 1 edge stitch.
Work once from row 1 to 56, then begin the V-Yoke in row 57 and continue following the chart until the pattern ends at the shoulder seams.
For the sleeve, repeat rows 1 to 32 continuously.
Gauge: 16 stitches and 23.5 rows = 4 x 4 in (10 x 10 cm).
Back:
Cast on 75 (87) 99 stitches and work in the leaf pattern.
For the neckline, after 23¼ in (59 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off the center 21 (23) 23 stitches and finish each side separately.
For the rounding, bind off 3 (4) 4 stitches once and 1 stitch once at the inner edge, every other row.
At 24¼ in (61.5 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off the remaining stitches.
Front:
Work as for the back, but with a deeper neckline.
To do this, after 20½ in (52 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off the center 13 (15) 15 stitches, and in every other row bind off 3 (4) 4 stitches once, 2 stitches once, and 1 stitch twice. Then in the following fourth row, bind off 1 stitch once.
Sleeves:
Cast on 39 (39) 51 stitches and work in the leaf pattern.
At the same time, for sleeve shaping, increase 1 stitch on each side 15 times every 6th row and 3 times every 4th row (20 times alternately every 4th and 6th row) 3 times every 8th row and 13 times every 6th row according to the pattern = 75 (79) 83 stitches.
When sleeve measures 17¾ in (45 cm), bind off all stitches.
Finishing:
Sew shoulder seams.
Pick up 78 (86) 86 stitches around the neckline using circular needles and work 1 round as follows: * knit 2 stitches together, yarn over, repeat from *.
Then work 1¼ in (3 cm) in rib pattern and bind off all stitches in pattern.
Sew in the sleeves. Sew side seams and sleeve seams.
