Raglan Lace Sweater

How to knit the sweater in lace pattern:
Size: US 8 / UK 12
Materials:
350 g yarn (50% wool, 50% acrylic, 250 m/100 g; approx. 273 yds/3.5 oz), knitting needles US 4 (3.5 mm) and US 7 (4.5 mm), circular needles US 7 (4.5 mm) and US 8 (5 mm).
Ribbing Pattern 1/1, US 4 (3.5 mm): *k1, p1* across the row.
Lace Pattern, US 7 (4.5 mm):
Work according to chart, which shows right-side and wrong-side rows.
Pattern repeat is 36 stitches wide.
Repeat rows 1–32 throughout.
Gauge:
Ribbing Pattern 1/1: 22 sts x 36 rows = 4 x 4 in (10 x 10 cm);
Lace Pattern: 36 sts x 32 rows = 7.3 x 6.3 in (18.5 x 16 cm).
Back:
Cast on 86 stitches using US 4 (3.5 mm) needles and work 24 rows in Ribbing Pattern 1 x 1.
In the last row increase evenly 8 stitches = 94 stitches.
Change to US 7 (4.5 mm) needles and work in Lace Pattern as follows: 1 edge stitch, p1, part of repeat A, work the repeat twice, p1, 1 edge stitch.
Work 32 rows according to chart and begin raglan shaping.
For raglan shaping, on both sides every 2nd row work 2 stitches together (= 44 rows) and bind off the remaining 50 stitches.
Front: Work as for the back.


Sleeves:
Cast on 76 stitches using US 7 (4.5 mm) needles and work in Lace Pattern as follows: 1 edge stitch, p1, work the repeat twice, p1, 1 edge stitch.
Work 32 rows according to chart and begin raglan shaping.
For raglan shaping, on both sides every 2nd row work 2 stitches together (= 44 rows) and bind off the remaining 32 stitches.
Finishing:
Sew side and shoulder seams.
For the collar, with circular needles US 7 (4.5 mm) pick up 96 stitches along neckline and work 17 rows in Ribbing Pattern 1 x 1, then change to US 8 (5 mm), work 17 more rows and bind off all stitches.
