How to knit the Summer Lace Sweater with 3/4 Sleeves:
Size: US 6-8 / UK 10-12 / EU 36-38.
Materials:
400 g cotton yarn; US 8 knitting needles (5 mm) and a US 7 crochet hook (4.5 mm).

Garter Stitch: work knit stitches in right-side and wrong-side rows.

Lace Pattern:
Work according to the chart, which shows right-side and wrong-side rows.
Begin with 1 edge stitch, repeat the pattern repeat throughout, end with 1 stitch after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.
In wrong-side rows, purl all stitches and yarn overs.
Repeat Rows 1-4 throughout.

Gauge: 17 stitches = 4 inches.

Back:
Cast on 81 stitches and work 4 rows (2 ridges) in Garter Stitch.
Continue in Lace Pattern, working 8 pattern repeats across.
At 27.5 inches from the cast-on edge, bind off all stitches loosely.

Front:
Work as for the Back, but with a deeper neckline.
For this, at 23.5 inches from the cast-on edge, bind off the center 39 stitches and finish both sides separately.
At 27.5 inches from the cast-on edge, bind off the remaining 21 stitches of each shoulder.

Sleeves:
Cast on 51 stitches and work 4 rows (2 ridges) in Garter Stitch.
Continue in Lace Pattern, working 5 pattern repeats across.
At 11 inches from the cast-on edge, bind off all stitches loosely.

Finishing:
Work shoulder seams.
Work sleeve seams and side seams, leaving the upper 8 inches open for the armholes.
Set in the sleeves, matching their centers to the shoulder seams.
Crochet around the neckline, working 2 rounds of half double crochet stitches, working 2 stitches together at each front corner and joining with 1 slip stitch at the end of each round.
Then work 1 round of reverse single crochet and join with 1 slip stitch.
