Continue in the main pattern, working 4 (0) stitches in stockinette stitch at each side.
When the piece measures 21.25 in. (54 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off the center 29 stitches for the neckline and finish each side separately.
At the neckline edge, bind off every second row: 4 stitches once, 3 stitches twice, 2 stitches once, and 1 stitch three times.
When the piece measures 23.5 in. (60 cm), bind off the remaining shoulder stitches.
Back:
Work as for the Front, but when the piece measures 22.75 in. (58 cm), bind off the center 29 stitches for the neckline and, at the neckline edge, bind off 5 stitches three times on every second row.

Sew the shoulder seams.
Sew the side seams, leaving the upper 9 (9.5) in. / 23 (24) cm open for the armholes.
Pick up stitches around the neckline and each armhole, work 1 in. (2.5 cm) in rib pattern, then bind off all stitches.
