Garter Stitch: work all rows in knit stitches.

Work according to the chart, which shows only the right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear.

Row 2: * 1 knit stitch, slip 1 stitch purlwise with yarn in back, repeat from *.

Gauge: 16 stitches and 25.5 rows = 10 × 10 cm.

The sweater is worked in one piece from sleeve to sleeve.

Right Sleeve:
Cast on a stretchy edge of 51 stitches and work in the brioche wave pattern.
At the same time, for the sleeve shaping, increase at both edges 1 time in the 14th row, 7 times in every 10th row, and 2 times in every 8th row (1 time in the 14th row, 9 times in every 8th row, and 2 times in every 6th row) by 1 stitch each, working increases in pattern = 71 (75) stitches.
For the side edges, after 42.5 cm = 108 rows (40.5 cm = 104 rows) from the beginning, cast on 62 (60) stitches on both sides = 195 stitches and work straight.
For the neckline, after 58 cm = 148 rows from the beginning, divide the work in half, place 97 stitches on hold, and first work the 98 stitches of the front.
For neckline shaping, decrease at the inner edge in every 2nd row 3 times 2 stitches and 2 times 1 stitch = 90 stitches.
After 75 cm = 192 rows from the beginning, increase at the inner edge in every 2nd row 2 times 1 stitch and 3 times 2 stitches.
After 79 cm = 202 rows from the beginning, place these 98 stitches on hold.
Now work the back over the 97 held stitches and for the neckline shaping decrease in every 2nd row 1 time 2 stitches and 1 time 1 stitch = 94 stitches.
After 77.5 cm = 198 rows from the beginning, increase at the inner edge 1 time 1 stitch and 1 time 2 stitches in every 2nd row = 97 stitches.
After 79 cm = 202 rows from the beginning, continue working across all stitches together and complete the second half as a mirror image, working decreases instead of the previous increases.
After 137 cm = 350 rows from the beginning, work 2 rows in the cord pattern across the remaining 51 stitches and bind off all stitches in the 2nd row.

Finishing:
Along the neckline edge, pick up 70 stitches on circular needles, work 1 round in purl stitches, then bind off all stitches in knit.
Along the lower edge of the front and back, pick up 74 (80) stitches, work 1 row in knit stitches, and bind off all stitches in knit.
Sew all seams.
