Sweater in Pattern Mix

How to knit the sweater in different patterns:
Sizes: 36/38 (42/44) EU = UK 8/10 (14/16), US 4/6 (10/12)
Materials:
600 (650) g cotton yarn (length 130 m/50 g = approx. 142 yd/1.76 oz). Needles size 3 mm and 3.5 mm (US 2.5 and US 4), and circular needle size 3 mm (US 2.5).

French Ribbing Pattern: 1 round knit stitches, 1 round purl stitches.
Stockinette Stitch: on odd rows purl stitches, on even rows knit stitches.
Ribbing Pattern: number of stitches is a multiple of 12 + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Work according to chart VII, which shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
In width begin with 2 stitches before the pattern repeat, repeat the pattern repeat throughout, end with 1 edge stitch.
In height work rows 1–22 once.
Lace Patterns I–VI:
Work according to charts I–VI, which show only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
In width work the indicated stitches once, in height repeat the rows.

Gauge:
Stockinette Stitch or Lace Patterns with 3.5 mm needles: 25 stitches and 35 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches).

Back:
Cast on 123 (135) stitches with 3 mm needles and work 6 cm (2.4 inches) = 22 rows in Ribbing Pattern, at the same time in the last row increase evenly 15 (18) stitches twisted from the horizontal strand = 138 (153) stitches.
Continue with 3.5 mm needles as follows: 1 edge stitch, 18 (23) stitches Stockinette Stitch, 5 stitches Lace Pattern I, 2 stitches Stockinette Stitch, 13 stitches Lace Pattern II, 1 (2) stitches Stockinette Stitch, 5 stitches Lace Pattern I, 2 (3) stitches Stockinette Stitch, 18 stitches Lace Pattern III, 4 (6) stitches Stockinette Stitch, 9 stitches Lace Pattern IV, 1 stitch Stockinette Stitch, 5 stitches Lace Pattern I, 3 (4) stitches Stockinette Stitch, 25 stitches Lace Pattern V, 3 (5) stitches Stockinette Stitch, 14 stitches Lace Pattern VI, beginning from row 22 of chart VI, 3 (4) stitches Stockinette Stitch, 5 stitches Lace Pattern I, 1 edge stitch.
At a height of 60 cm (23.6 inches) = 210 rows (63 cm = 24.8 inches = 220 rows) from Ribbing Pattern bind off the middle 34 (39) stitches and finish both sides separately.
For shaping the neckline bind off in every 2nd row 1 x 5 stitches and 1 x 3 stitches.
Bind off the remaining 44 (49) stitches at a height of 2 cm (0.8 inches) = 6 rows from the beginning of the neckline.


Front:
Work as Back, but with a deeper neckline.
At a height of 56 cm (22 inches) = 196 rows (59 cm = 23.2 inches = 206 rows) from Ribbing Pattern bind off the middle 22 (27) stitches and finish both sides separately.
For shaping the neckline bind off in every 2nd row 1 x 4 stitches, 1 x 3 stitches, 1 x 2 stitches and 5 x 1 stitch.

Left Sleeve:
Cast on 51 stitches with 3 mm needles and work Ribbing Pattern as for the Back, at the same time in the last row increase evenly 26 (32) stitches twisted from the horizontal strand = 77 (83) stitches.
Continue with 3.5 mm needles as follows: 1 edge stitch, 2 (5) stitches Stockinette Stitch, 9 stitches Lace Pattern IV, 5 stitches Stockinette Stitch, * 5 stitches Lace Pattern I, 5 stitches Stockinette Stitch, 9 stitches Lace Pattern IV, 5 stitches Stockinette Stitch, repeat from * once more, 9 stitches Lace Pattern IV, 2 (5) stitches Stockinette Stitch, 1 edge stitch.
For sleeve shaping increase on both sides 6 (4) times in every 6th row and 24 (28) times in every 4th row 1 stitch = 137 (147) stitches.
Work the increased stitches as follows: 3 (0) stitches Stockinette Stitch, 5 stitches Lace Pattern I, 5 stitches Stockinette Stitch, 9 stitches Lace Pattern IV, 5 stitches Stockinette Stitch, 3 (5) stitches Lace Pattern I, remaining 0 (2) stitches Stockinette Stitch.
At a height of 39 cm (15.3 inches) = 136 rows (40 cm = 15.7 inches = 140 rows) from Ribbing Pattern bind off all stitches.

Right Sleeve:
Work as Left Sleeve, but between the individual Lace Patterns I work 3 stitches Stockinette Stitch, 13 stitches Lace Pattern II and 3 stitches Stockinette Stitch.

Finishing:
Sew shoulder seams.
Pick up about 96 (104) stitches along the neckline with circular needles and work 3 rounds French Ribbing Pattern, 1 round eyelets (* purl 2 stitches together, yarn over, repeat from *), 3 rounds Stockinette Stitch, then bind off all stitches knitwise.
Sew side seams, leaving the upper 27 (29) cm (10.6–11.4 inches) open. Set in sleeves.
