Rows 2 and 4 (wrong side): work the stitches as they appear.

Repeat Rows 1–4 throughout.

Pattern Panel 2 (over 32 stitches):
Work as Pattern Panel 1, but according to Chart 2.
Repeat Rows 1–24 throughout.

Gauge (average): 23.5 stitches and 32 rows = 10 × 10 cm.

Back:
Cast on 123 (133) stitches and knit 6 cm in Ribbed Cable Pattern, decreasing 1 stitch in the last row = 122 (132) stitches.
Continue in the following pattern distribution: edge stitch, 15 (18) stitches stockinette, 21 stitches Pattern Panel 1, 8 (10) stitches stockinette, 32 stitches Pattern Panel 2, 8 (10) stitches stockinette, 21 stitches Pattern Panel 1, 15 (18) stitches stockinette, edge stitch.
For the neckline, after 57.5 cm = 184 rows from the Ribbed Cable Pattern, bind off the center 28 stitches and work each side separately.
At the inner edge bind off 3 stitches once, 2 stitches once, and 1 stitch once on every right-side row.
After 60 cm = 192 rows from the Ribbed Cable Pattern, bind off the remaining 41 (46) stitches for the shoulder.

Front:
Work as for the back, but with a deeper neckline.
For this, after 55.5 cm = 178 rows from the Ribbed Cable Pattern, bind off the center 22 stitches and at the inner edge bind off 2 stitches three times and 1 stitch three times on every right-side row.
Bind off the remaining 41 (46) stitches for the shoulder at the same height as the back.

Sleeves:
Cast on 48 stitches and knit 6 cm in Ribbed Cable Pattern, increasing evenly 9 stitches in the last row = 57 stitches.
Continue in the following pattern distribution: edge stitch, last 9 stitches of Pattern Panel 1, 8 stitches stockinette, 21 stitches Pattern Panel 1, 8 stitches stockinette, first 9 stitches of Pattern Panel 1, edge stitch.
For sleeve shaping, after the Ribbed Cable Pattern, increase 1 stitch at both sides 7 times on every right-side row and 28 times every 4th row, first into the pattern panel, then into stockinette = 127 stitches.
After 40 cm = 128 rows from the Ribbed Cable Pattern, bind off all stitches.

Finishing:
Sew the side seams, leaving the top 27 cm open for the armholes.
Pick up approximately 84 stitches along the neckline with circular needles and knit 8 cm in stockinette stitch, then bind off loosely.
Sew sleeve seams. Set in sleeves.
