Sweater with Elongated Knit Stitch Pattern

How to knit the pullover with elongated knit stitch pattern:

Size: 44 (US size 14, UK size 16).
Materials:
600 g of yarn (40% merino wool, 60% acrylic, 125 m / 100 g); knitting needles No. 5 and 6 (US 8 and 10), crochet hook No. 4 (US G/6).

Ribbing Pattern 3 x 1: work 3 purl stitches, 1 elongated knit stitch (= knit this stitch only on the wrong-side rows; on right-side rows, slip it with yarn held at back).
Right-slanting ribbing pattern:
Work according to chart 1, which shows only right-side rows; on wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear.
Left-slanting ribbing pattern:
Work according to chart 2, which shows only right-side rows; on wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear.
Ribbing Pattern 2 x 2: alternate 2 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches.
Gauge: 13 stitches and 16 rows = 10 × 10 cm.

Work the pullover as one piece, starting from the lower edge of the back.
With needles No. 5, cast on 59 stitches and work 4 rows in Ribbing Pattern 3 x 1, then continue with needles No. 6.
After 66 rows from the beginning, for the sleeves, increase 36 stitches once on each side and work as follows:
on the 59 stitches of the back – in Ribbing Pattern 3 x 1;
on the 36 stitches of the right sleeve – in the right-slanting ribbing pattern (chart 1);
on the 36 stitches of the left sleeve – in the left-slanting ribbing pattern (chart 2).
After 37 rows from the beginning of the sleeves, for the neckline, bind off the center 24 stitches and work each side separately. To shape the neckline, increase 1 stitch once in every 8th row and 1 stitch 4 times in every 2nd row. Then work across all stitches again, adding 10 stitches between the halves (thus restoring the total number of stitches).
At the same time, after 37 rows from the beginning of the sleeves, work the right sleeve in the left-slanting ribbing pattern (chart 2) and the left sleeve in the right-slanting ribbing pattern (chart 1).
After 74 rows from the beginning of the sleeves, bind off the 36 sleeve stitches.
After 62 rows from the sleeve bind-offs, work 4 more rows with needles No. 5 and bind off all stitches.

Finishing:
For the cuffs, pick up 74 stitches along each sleeve edge and work 12 rows in Ribbing Pattern 2 x 2, then bind off all stitches.
Sew the side and sleeve seams.
Edge the neckline with 1 round of single crochet stitches.
