Sweater with Embossed Triangle Stitch Pattern

How to knit the Sweater with Embossed Triangle Stitch:
Sizes: US 4/6 (8) 10/12, UK 8/10 (12) 14/16
Materials:
700 (750) 800 g wool and cotton yarn (length 140 m/153 yds per 50 g); straight needles 2 mm (US 0, UK 14) and 3–3.5 mm (US 2–4, UK 11–9).

Ribbing Pattern, 2 mm needles: * knit 1, purl 1 *, repeat from * to *.
Work the following stitch patterns with 3–3.5 mm needles.
Large Seed Stitch: *1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch*, repeat; in every 2nd row work knit stitches over purl stitches and purl stitches over knit stitches.
Cable:
Rows 1 and 5: knit 2 stitches together, yarn over, 2 purl stitches, 9 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches, knit 2 stitches together, yarn over.
Row 2 and all even rows: work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Row 3: knit 2 stitches together, yarn over, 2 purl stitches, slip 3 stitches to a cable needle and hold in front of work, knit 3 stitches, then knit the stitches from the cable needle; 3 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches, knit 2 stitches together, yarn over.
Row 7: knit 2 stitches together, yarn over, 2 purl stitches, 3 knit stitches, cross 6 stitches to the right (= slip 3 stitches to a cable needle and hold at back of work, knit 3 stitches, then knit the stitches from the cable needle); 2 purl stitches, knit 2 stitches together, yarn over.
Repeat Rows 1–8 throughout.
Triangle Stitch Pattern:
Work according to the chart, which shows right-side rows only.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Pattern distribution for front or sleeve:
22 (25) 29 or 7 stitches in Large Seed Stitch, 17 stitches in Cable pattern, 68 or 34 stitches in Triangle Stitch Pattern, 17 stitches in Cable pattern, 22 (25) 29 or 7 stitches in Large Seed Stitch.
Gauge:
Triangle Stitch Pattern: 27 stitches and 32 rows = 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4 in);
Large Seed Stitch: 23 stitches = 10 cm (4 in);
Cable pattern: width 4.5 cm (1.75 in).

Front:
Cast on 118 (124) 132 stitches and work 5.5 cm (2.25 in) in Ribbing Pattern, increasing evenly 30 stitches in the last row = 146 (152) 160 stitches + 2 edge stitches.
Continue according to the pattern distribution.
At 35 cm (13.75 in) bind off 14 stitches at each side for shoulder slopes = 120 (126) 134 stitches.
At 57 cm (22.5 in) bind off the center 26 (26) 30 stitches for the neckline and finish both sides separately, binding off at the neckline edge in every 2nd row 1 time 3 stitches, 2 times 2 stitches and 5 times 1 stitch.
Bind off the remaining stitches at 63 cm (24.75 in).

Back:
Work as for the front, but for the neckline at 61 cm (24 in) bind off the center 40 (40) 44 stitches and at the neckline edge in every 2nd row bind off 1 time 3 stitches and 1 time 2 stitches.

Sleeves:
Cast on 50 (54) 58 stitches for each sleeve and work 7 cm (2.75 in) in Ribbing Pattern, increasing evenly 34 (30) 26 stitches in the last row = 82 stitches + 2 edge stitches.
Continue according to the pattern distribution.
For sleeve shaping increase at both sides in Large Seed Stitch in every 4th row 29 times 1 stitch, then in every 2nd row 3 times 1 stitch = 148 stitches.
At 51 cm (20 in) bind off all stitches.

Finishing:
Sew shoulder seams.
For the neckline band pick up about 128 (128) 140 stitches around the neckline and after working 3 cm (1.25 in) in Ribbing Pattern bind off all stitches.
Fold sleeves lengthwise, set in, then sew remaining seams.
