How to knit the sweater with fantasy pattern:
Sizes: US 6/8 (10) 16/18; UK 10/12 (14) 20/22
Materials:
700 (700) 750 g yarn in kiwi color (100% Tactel fibers, 125 m/50 g / approx. 137 yd/1.76 oz); circular needles US 4 and US 6 (3.5 mm and 4 mm); crochet hook US E/4 (3.5 mm).
Stockinette stitch: right side rows – knit stitches, wrong-side rows – purl stitches.
Small seed stitch: work alternately 1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch, shifting the pattern in every round.
Ribbing Pattern, needles US 4 (3.5 mm): * 1 stitch in Stockinette stitch, 2 stitches in Small seed stitch, repeat continuously from *.
Fantasy Pattern:
work according to the chart, which shows right side rows only.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Begin with the stitches at the corresponding arrow and repeat the pattern repeat.
Repeat rows 1 to 16 throughout.
Gauge, fantasy pattern: 28.5 stitches and 35.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches).
Front:

Sleeves:
Cast on 39 stitches + 2 edge stitches and work 6 cm (2.4 inches) in Ribbing Pattern, in the last row increase stitches evenly to 68 stitches + 2 edge stitches.
Then work in Fantasy Pattern from arrow B.
At the same time, for sleeve shaping, increase on both sides 28 (25) 20 x 1 stitch every 4th row and 9 (15) 23 x 1 stitch every 2nd row, working the increased stitches into the pattern.
After 45 (45) 43 cm (17.7 (17.7) 16.9 inches) from cast-on edge, bind off all stitches.
Finishing:
Work the shoulder seams.
Pick up the required number of stitches around the neckline with circular needles and work 2 cm (0.8 inches) in Ribbing Pattern, then bind off all stitches following the pattern.
Set in the sleeves, matching the center of the sleeve to the shoulder seam, and work the sleeve seams.
