Sweater with Lace Cable Pattern

How to knit the Sweater with Lace Cable Pattern:
Sizes: UK 12 (UK 14/16) UK 18 / US 8 (US 10/12) US 14
Materials:
750 (800) 850 g yarn (40% wool, 30% acrylic, 30% polyamide, length 125 m/50 g = approx. 137 yd/1.76 oz). Circular needles size 3 mm and 3.5 mm (US 2.5 and US 4).

Ribbing Pattern, needles 3 mm:
right-side rows – * knit 1 through the back loop, purl 1, repeat from *;
wrong-side rows – * knit 1, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, return it to the left needle and purl it, repeat from *;
in rounds:
Round 1: * knit 1 through the back loop, purl 1, repeat from *;
Round 2: * knit 1, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, return it to the left needle and knit it; purl 1, repeat from *.
All following patterns are worked with 3.5 mm (US 4) needles.
Stockinette stitch: right-side rows – knit stitches, wrong-side rows – purl stitches.
Reverse stockinette stitch: right-side rows – purl stitches, wrong-side rows – knit stitches.
Large seed stitch:
Row 1: * knit 1, purl 1 *;
Rows 2 and 4: work stitches as they appear;
Row 3: * purl 1, knit 1 *;
Repeat these 4 rows throughout.
Cable 1 (over 7 stitches):
Row 1: knit 3, cross 4 stitches to the right (= place 1 stitch on a cable needle behind the work, knit 3, then knit the stitch from the cable needle);
Row 2 and all even rows: purl stitches.
Row 3: knit 2, cross 4 stitches to the right, knit 1.
Row 5: knit 1, cross 4 stitches to the right, knit 2.
Row 7: cross 4 stitches to the right, knit 3.
Repeat rows 1–8 throughout.
Cable 2 (over 8 stitches):
Rows 1–6 and 8: stockinette stitch.
Row 7: place 2 stitches on a cable needle in back of the work, knit 2 and knit the stitches from the cable needle; place 2 stitches on a cable needle in front of the work, knit 2 and knit the stitches from the cable needle.
Repeat rows 1–8 throughout.
Cable 3 (over 18 stitches):
Rows 1–6 + 8–14 + 16: stockinette stitch.
Row 7: place 6 stitches on a cable needle in front of the work, knit 6 and knit the stitches from the cable needle; knit 6.
Row 15: knit 6, place 6 stitches on a cable needle behind the work, knit 6 and knit the stitches from the cable needle.
Repeat rows 1–16 throughout.
Lace pattern (over 15 stitches):
Work according to chart 1; only right-side rows are shown.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear.
Repeat rows 1–8 throughout.
Lace triangle (over 27 stitches):
Work according to chart 2; only right-side rows are shown.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Repeat rows 1–24 throughout.
Central pattern (over 101 stitches): 4 stitches reverse stockinette, 15 stitches lace pattern, 4 stitches reverse stockinette, 7 stitches Cable 1, 5 stitches reverse stockinette, 27 stitches lace triangle, 5 stitches reverse stockinette, 8 stitches Cable 2, 4 stitches reverse stockinette, 18 stitches Cable 3, 4 stitches reverse stockinette.
Central sleeve pattern (over 35 stitches): 4 stitches reverse stockinette, 27 stitches lace triangle, 4 stitches reverse stockinette.

Gauge:
large seed stitch: 25 stitches and 35 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in);
central pattern: 29.5 stitches = 10 cm (4 in).
central sleeve pattern: 23 stitches = 10 cm (4 in).

Front:
Cast on 164 (172) 180 stitches and work 3 cm (1.2 in) in Ribbing Pattern, increasing 1 stitch in the last row = 165 (173) 181 stitches.
Then arrange the stitches as follows: 1 edge stitch, 31 (35) 39 stitches large seed stitch, 101 stitches central pattern, 31 (35) 39 stitches large seed stitch, 1 edge stitch.
At a height of 64 cm (25.2 in), bind off the middle 21 stitches and finish both sides separately.
For the neckline shaping, bind off in every second row 1 time 5 stitches, 1 time 4 stitches, 2 times 2 stitches, 6 times 1 stitch.
At a height of 70 cm (27.6 in), bind off the remaining shoulder stitches.

Back:
Cast on 164 (172) 180 stitches and work 3 cm (1.2 in) in Ribbing Pattern, decreasing 14 stitches evenly in the last row = 150 (158) 166 stitches.
Continue in large seed stitch.
At a height of 68 cm (26.8 in), bind off the middle 34 stitches and finish both sides separately.
For the neckline shaping, bind off in every second row 2 times 3 stitches, 1 time 2 stitches.
Bind off the remaining stitches at the same height as the front.

Sleeves:
Cast on 56 stitches for each sleeve and work 4.5 (5) 6 cm (1.8 (2) 2.4 in) in Ribbing Pattern, increasing 31 stitches evenly in the last row = 87 stitches.
Then arrange the stitches as follows: 1 edge stitch, 25 stitches large seed stitch, 35 stitches central pattern, 25 stitches large seed stitch, 1 edge stitch.
For sleeve shaping, increase on both sides every 8th row 2 times 1 stitch and every 6th row 20 times 1 stitch.
At a height of 45 (45.5) 46.5 cm (17.7 (17.9) 18.3 in), bind off all stitches.

Finishing:
Work the shoulder seams.
Pick up stitches evenly around the neckline and work 4 cm (1.6 in) in Ribbing Pattern, then bind off all stitches.
Work the side seams and sleeve seams. Set in the sleeves.
