Sweater with Lace Diamond Pattern

How to knit the Sweater with Lace Diamonds:
Size: US 12–14, UK 16–18.
Materials:
200 g white yarn (cone yarn, 39 percent merino extrafine, 17 percent camel hair, 44 percent polyamide; 100 g = 850 m; worked with double strand) and
250 g light blue yarn (70 percent baby alpaca, 30 percent polyamide; 50 g = 225 m); straight needles and circular needles 4.5 mm (US 7).

Ribbing Pattern: * 2 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches *; repeat from * to *.
Stockinette Stitch: On right-side rows, work knit stitches. On wrong-side rows, work purl stitches.
Lace Diamonds:
Work according to charts 1–3, which show right-side rows only.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.

Gauge: 17 stitches and 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back and Front:
With light blue yarn, cast on 104 stitches and work 4 cm in Ribbing Pattern, decreasing 1 stitch evenly in the last row = 103 stitches.
Continue in the following pattern sequence:
with light blue yarn, work 10 rows in Stockinette Stitch;
with white yarn, work 28 rows following chart 1 (edge stitch, 6 stitches before the pattern repeat, repeat the pattern repeat 9 times, 5 stitches after the pattern repeat, edge stitch);
with light blue yarn, work 20 rows in Stockinette Stitch;
with white yarn, work 22 rows following chart 2 (edge stitch, 1 knit stitch, 7 stitches before the pattern repeat, repeat the pattern repeat 6 times, 8 stitches after the pattern repeat, 1 knit stitch, edge stitch);
with light blue yarn, work 20 rows in Stockinette Stitch;
with white yarn, work 18 rows following chart 3 (edge stitch, 2 knit stitches, 6 stitches before the pattern repeat, repeat the pattern repeat 7 times, 7 stitches after the pattern repeat, 2 knit stitches, edge stitch).
Afterwards, continue to the end of the piece with light blue yarn in Stockinette Stitch.
At a height of 68 cm from the cast-on edge, shape the shoulders by binding off on both sides in every second row 2 times 8 stitches and 1 time 9 stitches.
Place the remaining 53 stitches on circular needles and leave them on hold.
Sweater with Lace Diamond Pattern
Sleeve:
With light blue yarn, cast on 40 stitches and work 4 cm in Ribbing Pattern, increasing evenly 19 stitches in the last row by working them twisted from the horizontal strand between stitches = 59 stitches.
Continue in the following pattern sequence:
with light blue yarn, work 10 rows in Stockinette Stitch;
with white yarn, work 22 rows following chart 2 (edge stitch, 7 stitches before the pattern repeat, repeat the pattern repeat 3 times, 8 stitches after the pattern repeat, edge stitch).
Afterwards, continue to the end of the sleeve with light blue yarn in Stockinette Stitch.
For sleeve shaping, increase on both sides 1 stitch in every twentieth row 3 times = 65 stitches.
At a height of 44 cm from the cast-on edge, shape the sleeve cap by binding off on both sides in every second row 2 times 10 stitches, then bind off the remaining 25 stitches.
Work the second sleeve in the same way.

Finishing:
Work the shoulder seams.
For the collar, with circular needles work in the round over the held neckline stitches in Stockinette Stitch, decreasing evenly 11 stitches twice in every fourth round = 84 stitches.
Repeat the sequence *10 rows with light blue yarn and 10 rows with white yarn* twice, then with light blue yarn work 10 rows in Ribbing Pattern and bind off the stitches loosely.
Fold the sleeve lengthwise, match the center to the shoulder seam, sew the sleeve into the armhole on both sides, then work the side seam and sleeve seam.
Attach the second sleeve in the same way and work the side seam.
