Sweater with Lace Pattern

How to knit the sweater with lace pattern:
Size: US 8–10 / UK 10–12.
Material:
300 g yarn (70% wool, 30% acrylic); knitting needles size US 4 (3.5 mm).
Ribbing Pattern: *knit 1, purl 1*, repeat from * to *.
Stockinette Stitch: right-side rows – knit stitches, wrong-side rows – purl stitches.
Lace Pattern:
Work according to the chart, which shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear; purl the yarn overs.
Repeat rows 1–16 throughout.
Eyelet Stripe:
Row 1: edge stitch, knit 2 stitches together, yarn over twice, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over, edge stitch.
Row 2: purl all stitches and yarn overs.
Repeat these 2 rows throughout.
Lace Band:
Row 1: edge stitch, knit 1, purl 1, yarn over, knit 2 stitches together, purl 1, knit 1, edge stitch.
Rows 2 and 4: purl all stitches and yarn overs.
Row 3: edge stitch, knit 1, purl 1, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over, yarn over, purl 1, knit 1, edge stitch.
Repeat these 4 rows throughout.
Gauge: 16 stitches x 19 rows = 4 x 4 in (10 x 10 cm).
Back:
Cast on 76 stitches and work 1 wrong-side row in purl.
Then distribute the stitches as follows: edge stitch, knit 2, 6 stitches in lace band, 27 stitches in lace pattern, 4 stitches in eyelet stripe, 27 stitches in lace pattern, 6 stitches in lace band, knit 2, edge stitch.
At 12 in (31 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off 4 stitches at both sides for the armholes, then in every second row bind off 1 time 3 stitches and 1 time 2 stitches = 58 stitches.
At 20.5 in (52 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off the center 16 stitches for the neckline and finish both sides separately.
For rounding, bind off at the inner edge in every second row 1 time 4 stitches and 2 times 1 stitch.
At the same time, for shoulder shaping, bind off at the outer edge in every second row 3 times 5 stitches.
Front:
Work as for the back, but for the neckline at 15.5 in (39 cm) from the cast-on edge, divide the work in the center and finish each side separately.
For shaping the neckline and working the placket at the same time, divide the 4 stitches of the eyelet stripe and for each half from the center work *edge stitch, knit 1*.
Continue working the remaining stitches according to the pattern, but in the lace pattern leave out the yarn overs along the neckline edge (on the right half in the second part, on the left half in the first part).
Thus, 8 stitches are decreased on each half = 21 stitches.
After 16 rows of the next vertical pattern repeat, continue working the stitches as set.
At 20.5 in (52 cm) from the cast-on edge, for shoulder shaping, bind off at the outer edge in every second row 2 times 5 stitches and 1 time 4 stitches.
On the remaining 7 stitches for the back placket, work 3.5 in (9 cm) in ribbing pattern, leave stitches on hold.
Sleeves:
Cast on 31 stitches and work 1 wrong-side row in purl.
Then distribute the stitches as follows: edge stitch, knit 1, 27 stitches in lace pattern, knit 1, edge stitch.
For sleeve shaping, increase 1 stitch in stockinette stitch at both sides in every 10th row 8 times = 47 stitches.
At 17.25 in (44 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off 3 stitches at both sides for the sleeve cap, then in every second row bind off 1 time 2 stitches, 4 times 1 stitch, then in every 4th row bind off 2 times 1 stitch.
In the last vertical pattern repeat, leave out the yarn overs at the edges of the pattern.
Thus, 1 stitch is decreased at both sides in every second row.
At 24 in (61 cm) from the cast-on edge, bind off the remaining stitches.
Finishing:
Join the open stitches of the neckline placket with Kitchener Stitch.
Sew the shoulder seams and attach the facing along the back neckline.
Sew the side and sleeve seams.
