Sweater with Stand Collar and Diamond Pattern

Size: US 8, UK 10
Materials:
700 g yarn (50% wool, 50% acrylic). Knitting needles size 5 mm (US 8, UK 6) and 4.5 mm (US 7, UK 7).
Fantasy Pattern:
Row 1: knit 1, purl 1, knit 1, * purl 11, knit 1, purl 1, knit 1, purl 1, knit 1 *, repeat from * to *, end with purl 11, knit 1, purl 1, and knit 1.
Row 2: work the stitches as they appear.
Repeat these 2 rows throughout.
Diamond Pattern:
Work following the chart, which shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work the stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
Ribbing Pattern: Work * knit 1, purl 1 *, repeat to end of row.
Gauge:
Diamond pattern with needles size 5 mm: 10 cm = 17 stitches.
Back:
With needles size 5 mm, cast on 81 stitches and work 24 cm in fantasy pattern.
Then work 46 rows in diamond pattern following the chart.
Continue in ribbing pattern, beginning and ending with knit 1.

Front:

Sleeves:
With needles size 5 mm, cast on 43 stitches and work in fantasy pattern, beginning and ending with knit 1.
For sleeve shaping, increase 1 stitch on each side every 10th row 7 times = 57 stitches.

Continue until the sleeve measures 49 cm.
Then for the sleeve cap, on both sides work together 2 stitches purlwise 6 times every 2nd row, and then at the beginning of each row bind off 4 stitches 4 times.

Finishing:
Sew the shoulder seams.
Pick up 80 stitches along the neckline using circular needles size 4.5 mm and work 10 cm in ribbing pattern. Bind off the stitches loosely in pattern.
Sew the second shoulder seam and the collar.
Set in the sleeves, matching the top of the sleeve with the shoulder seam.
