Top with Lace Pattern

How to knit the Top with Lace Pattern:
Sizes: US 6/8 (10/12) 16/18
Finished bust circumference: approx. 36.2 (39.4) 42.5 in (92 (100) 108 cm)
Materials:
450 (500) 550 g yarn (100% cotton, 126 yd/1.76 oz [115 m/50 g]); straight knitting needles US 2.5 and US 4 (3 mm and 3.5 mm); short circular needle US 2.5 (3 mm).

Stockinette Stitch, using US 2.5 needles:
Right-side rows: knit stitches.
Wrong-side rows: purl stitches.
When working in rounds, knit all stitches.

Lace Pattern:
Work over a multiple of 14 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Work according to chart, which shows right-side rows only.
On wrong-side rows, work stitches as they appear and purl the yarn overs.
Begin with 1 edge stitch, repeat the pattern repeat throughout, end with 1 stitch after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.
Work Rows 1–22 five times, then work Rows 23–44 once.

Ribbing Pattern:
Row 1: * purl 1, knit 1, repeat from *, end with purl 1;
Row 2: work stitches as they appear.


Pattern Sequence: 132 rows in Lace Pattern, all remaining rows in Ribbing Pattern.

Gauge: 29 stitches and 35.5 rows = 4 x 4 in (10 x 10 cm).

Back:
Cast on 130 (144) 158 stitches and work the lower band as follows: 0.8 in (2 cm) in Stockinette Stitch, next row: * knit 2 stitches together, yarn over, repeat from *, 0.8 in (2 cm) in Stockinette Stitch, increasing 27 stitches evenly across the last row = 157 (171) 185 stitches.
Then work the Pattern Sequence.
After 14.6 in = 132 rows (37 cm) from the lower band, bind off 10 stitches at each side for the armholes = 137 (151) 165 stitches.
After 22.8 (22.8) 23.6 in (58 (58) 60 cm) from the lower band, bind off the center 43 (43) 49 stitches for the neckline and finish both sides separately.
For neckline shaping, bind off 3 stitches once and 2 stitches once at the inner edge on every 2nd row.
After 23.6 (23.6) 24.4 in (60 (60) 62 cm) from the lower band, bind off the remaining 42 (49) 53 shoulder stitches.

Front:
Work as for the Back, but with a deeper neckline.
For this, after 21.3 (21.3) 22 in (54 (54) 56 cm) from the lower band, bind off the center 33 (33) 39 stitches and then on every 2nd row bind off 3 stitches once, 2 stitches twice and 1 stitch three times.

Finishing:
Sew shoulder seams.
Using the circular needle, pick up 100 (100) 112 stitches around the neckline, work the band as for the Back and bind off all stitches.
Fold the band to the inside and sew in place.
Using the circular needle, pick up 120 (120) 132 stitches around each armhole and work the bands as for the Back, but instead of 0.8 in (2 cm) in Stockinette Stitch, work 1.4 in (3.5 cm).
Then bind off all stitches, fold the bands to the inside and sew in place.
Sew the short sides of the bands together.
Sew side seams, fold the lower bands to the inside and sew in place.
