Lace Cable Stitch Knitting Pattern
How to knit the Lace Cable Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 11 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 25 stitches (3 + 11 + 9 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, purl all stitches and the yarn overs.
The pattern repeat is 11 stitches wide.
Begin with 1 edge stitch and 3 stitches before the pattern repeat, work the pattern repeat throughout, end with 9 stitches after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.
Abbreviation:
k: knit stitch
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches
C6F (k3+k3): slip 3 stitches to cable needle, hold to front, K3, K3 from cable needle
Written row-by-row instructions:
Rows 1 and 5 (right side): 1 edge stitch, k1, k2tog, yo, * k6, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo *; repeat from * to *; k6, yo, skpo, k1, 1 edge stitch.
Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): purl all stitches and the yarn overs.
Row 3: 1 edge stitch, k2tog, yo, k1, * k7, yo, sk2p, yo, k1 *; repeat from * to *; k7, yo, skpo, 1 edge stitch.
