Lace Cable Stitch Knitting Pattern #117

How to knit the Lace Cable Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 16 stitches + 4 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 22 stitches (16 + 4 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work all stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
The pattern repeat is 16 stitches wide.
Begin with 1 edge stitch, repeat the pattern throughout, end with 4 stitches after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.

Abbreviation:
k: Knit
p: Purl
yo: Yarn Overk
2tog: knit 2 stitches together
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
C4F: slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold to front, K2, K2 from cable needle
C4B: slip 2 sts to cable needle, hold to back, K2, K2 from cable needle

Row 1 (right side): 1 edge stitch, * p1, k2tog, yo, p1, C4F, p1, k2tog, yo, p1, k4 *; repeat from * to *; p1, k2tog, yo, p1, 1 edge stitch.
Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): work all stitches as they appear; purl the yarn overs.
Row 3: 1 edge stitch, * p1, yo, skpo, p1, C4F, p1, yo, skpo, p1, k4 *; repeat from * to *; p1, yo, skpo, p1, 1 edge stitch.
Row 5: work as for Row 1.
