Lace Cable Stitch Knitting Pattern #118
How to knit the Lace Cable Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 26 stitches + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 28 stitches (26 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work all stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
The pattern repeat is 26 stitches wide.
Repeat the pattern between edge stitches throughout.
Abbreviation:
k: knit stitch
p: purl stitch
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
Cross 2 stitches to the right: skip 1 st, knit 2nd st before first st, without dropping from LH needle, knit the first st, drop both sts from LH needle
Cross 4 stitches to the right: slip 2 stitches onto a cable needle and hold at the back of the work, knit 2 stitches together, then knit the stitches from the cable needle together
Cross 6 stitches to the left: slip 3 stitches to cable needle, hold to front, K3, K3 from cable needle
