Lace Cable Stitch Knitting Pattern #119

How to knit the Lace Cable Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 14 stitches + 2 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 18 stitches (14 + 2 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work all stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
The pattern repeat is 26 stitches wide.
Begin with 1 edge stitch, repeat the pattern throughout, end with 2 stitches after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.

Abbreviation:
k: knit stitch
p: purl stitch
yo: yarn over
cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch
Cross 5 sts Right: slip 3 stitches to cable needle, hold to back, K2, K3 from cable needle
Cross 5 sts Left: slip 2 stitches to cable needle, hold to front, K3, K2 from cable needle

Row 1 (right side): 1 edge stitch, * p2, k5, p2, k5 *; repeat from * to *; end with p2, 1 edge stitch.
Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): work sts as they appear; purl the yarn overs.

Row 3: 1 edge stitch, * p2, k1, yo, cdd, yo, k1, p2, cross 5 sts right *; repeat from * to *; end with p2, 1 edge stitch.
