Lace Cable Stitch Knitting Pattern #122

How to knit the Lace Cable Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 17 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 20 stitches (17 + 1 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows Right Side rows and Wrong Side rows.
The numbers at right edge of chart indicate Right Side rows, and at left edge Wrong Side rows.
Read Right Side rows from right to left, Wrong Side rows from left to right.
The pattern repeat = 17 stitches wide.

Abbreviation:
k: knit stitch
p: purl stitch
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch
cross 8 sts left: slip 4 stitches to cable needle, hold to front, K4, K4 from cable needle

Row 1 (right side): 1 edge stitch, * p1, k8, p1, k7 *; repeat from * to; end with p1, 1 edge stitch.

Row 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 (wrong side): k1, * p7, k1, p8, k1 *; repeat from * to; end with 1 edge stitch.

Row 3: 1 edge stitch, * p1, k8, p1, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k1 *; repeat from * to; end with p1, 1 edge stitch.

Row 5: 1 edge stitch, * p1, cross 8 sts left, p1, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, skpo *; repeat from * to; end with p1, 1 edge stitch.
