Lace Cable Stitch Pattern
How to knit the Lace Cable Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 19 stitches + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 21 stitches (19 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, work all stitches as they appear, purl the yarn overs.
The pattern repeat is 19 stitches wide.
Repeat the pattern between edge stitches throughout.
Abbreviation:
k: knit stitch
p: purl stitch
yo: yarn over
cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch
C8B: slip 4 stitches to cable needle, hold to back, K4, K4 from cable needle
C8F: slip 4 stitches to cable needle, hold to front, K4, K4 from cable needle

Row 1 (right side): 1 edge stitch, * p1, k17, p1 *; repeat from * to *; end with 1 edge stitch.
Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): work all stitches as they appear; purl the yarn overs.
Row 3: 1 edge stitch, * p1, C8B, k1, C8F, p1 *; repeat from * to *; end with 1 edge stitch.
Rows 5, 7 and 9: 1 edge stitch, * p1, k17, p1 *; repeat from * to *; end with 1 edge stitch.
