Lace Diamond Stitch Knitting Pattern

Work with a multiple of 26 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 29 stitches (26 + 1 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only right-side rows.

On wrong side rows, work stitches as they appear; purl the yarn overs.

The pattern repeat is 26 stitches wide.

Begin with 1 edge stitch, work the pattern repeat throughout, end with 1 stitch after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

Row 1 (right side): edge stitch, * k8, p2, k1, skpo, yo, k1, yo, k2tog, k1, p2, k7 *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, edge stitch.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): work stitches as they appear; purl the yarn overs.
