Lace Leaf Stitch Knitting Pattern

Work with a multiple of 15 stitches + 4 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 21 stitches (2 + 15 + 2 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only right side rows.

On wrong side rows, purl all stitches and the yarn overs.

The pattern repeat is 15 stitches wide.

Begin with 1 edge stitch and 2 stitches before the pattern repeat, work the pattern repeat throughout, end with 2 stitches after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.

k: knit stitch

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

k3tog: knit 3 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

Row 1 (right side): 1 edge stitch, skpo, yo, * k3tog, (k1, yo) 4 times, k1, skpo twice, k3 *; repeat from * to *; yo, k2tog, 1 edge stitch.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): Purl.

Row 3: 1 edge stitch, skpo, yo, * skpo, k2, yo, k3, (yo, k1) twice, skpo twice, k2 *; repeat from * to *; yo, k2tog, 1 edge stitch.

Row 5: 1 edge stitch, skpo, yo, * skpo, k1, yo, k5, (yo, k1) twice, skpo twice, k1 *; repeat from * to *; yo, k2tog, 1 edge stitch.
