Lace Pattern for Yoke

The pattern is worked from the bottom up.  

The number of stitches is a multiple of 24 plus 3 stitches for symmetry plus 2 edge stitches.  

For the sample, cast on 29 stitches and work according to the chart, which shows only right-side rows.  

On wrong-side rows, purl all stitches and yarn overs.  

The pattern repeat is 24 stitches wide.  

Begin with 1 edge stitch, repeat the pattern repeat continuously, end with 3 stitches after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.  

k: Knit

p: Purl

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch 

k3tog: knit 3 stitches together 

sk2p: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted together stitches

cdd (Central Double Decrease): slip first and second stitches together as if to knit, knit 1 stitch, pass two slipped stitches over the knit stitch

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): Purl.
