Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern

Work with a multiple of 12 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.

Cast on 15 stitches (12 + 1 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.

The chart shows only right-side rows.

On wrong-side rows, purl all stitches and the yarn overs.

The pattern repeat is 12 stitches wide.

Begin with 1 edge stitch, work the pattern repeat throughout, end with 1 stitch after the pattern repeat and 1 edge stitch.

k: knit stitch

yo: yarn over

k2tog: knit 2 stitches together as one

skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

 

Row 1 (right side): edge stitch, * k1, yo, skpo, k3, yo, skpo, k2, k2tog, yo *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, edge stitch.

Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): Purl.

 

Row 3: edge stitch, * k1, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, skpo, k1, k2tog, yo *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, edge stitch.

 

Row 5: edge stitch, * k1, yo, skpo, k2tog, yo, k3, yo, skpo, k2tog, yo *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, edge stitch.

 

Repeat these 6 rows for pattern.
