Lace Stitch Knitting Pattern #390

How to knit the Lace Pattern:
Work with a multiple of 8 stitches + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 18 stitches (8 + 8 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only right-side rows.
On wrong-side rows, purl all stitches and the yarn overs.
The pattern repeat is 8 stitches wide.
Repeat the pattern between the edge stitches throughout.

Abbreviation:
k: knit stitch
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

Written row-by-row instructions:
Row 1 (right side): 1 edge stitch, * yo, k2, skpo, k4 *; repeat from * to *; end with 1 edge stitch.
Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): purl all stitches and the yarn overs.

Row 3: 1 edge stitch, * k1, yo, k2, skpo, k3 *; repeat from * to *; end with 1 edge stitch.
Row 5: 1 edge stitch, * k4, k2tog, k2, yo *; repeat from * to *; end with 1 edge stitch.
Row 7: 1 edge stitch, * k3, k2tog, k2, yo, k1 *; repeat from * to *; end with 1 edge stitch.
Repeat Rows 1-8 throughout.
