How to knit the Relief Checkerboard Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 18 stitches + 9 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 29 stitches (18 + 9 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to the chart.
The chart shows right-side and wrong-side rows.
The numbers at the right edge indicate right-side rows, and those at the left edge indicate wrong-side rows.
Read right-side rows from right to left and wrong-side rows from left to right.
The pattern repeat is 18 stitches wide.
