Wave Stitch Knitting Pattern #58

How to knit the Wave Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 18 stitches + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 20 stitches (18 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows only right-side Rows.
On wrong-side rows, work stitches as they appear; purl the yarn overs.
The pattern repeat is 18 stitches wide.
Repeat the pattern between the edge stitches throughout.

Abbreviation:
k: Knit
p: Purl
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch

Written row-by-row instructions:
Row 1 (right side): 1 edge stitch, * k1, p16, k1 *; repeat from * to * end with *; repeat from * to * end with, 1 edge stitch.
Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): work stitches as they appear; purl the yarn overs.

Row 3: 1 edge stitch, * k2tog, yo, k14, yo, skpo *; repeat from * to * end with, 1 edge stitch.
Row 5: 1 edge stitch, * k2tog, k1, yo, p12, yo, k1, skpo *; repeat from * to * end with, 1 edge stitch.
Row 7: 1 edge stitch, * k2tog, k2, yo, k10, yo, k2, skpo *; repeat from * to * end with, 1 edge stitch.
Row 9: 1 edge stitch, * k2tog, k3, yo, p8, yo, k3, skpo *; repeat from * to * end with, 1 edge stitch.
Row 11: 1 edge stitch, * k2tog, k4, yo, k6, yo, k4, skpo *; repeat from * to * end with, 1 edge stitch.
