Zigzag Stitch Knitting Pattern #24

How to knit the Zigzag Stitch:
Work with a multiple of 5 stitches + 1 + 2 edge stitches.
Cast on 13 stitches (5 stitches 2 times + 1 + 2 edge stitches) and work according to chart.
The chart shows right-side rows and wrong-side rows.
The numbers at right edge of chart indicate right-side rows, and at left edge wrong-side rows.
The pattern repeat is 5 stitches wide.

Abbreviation:
k: Knit
p: Purl
yo: yarn over
k2tog: knit 2 stitches together
skpo: slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch
slip wyif: slip 1 stitch purlwise, leave yarn in front of work

Written row-by-row instructions:
Row 1 (right side): 1 edge stitch, * skpo, k3, yo *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, 1 edge stitch.
Row 2 and all even-numbered rows (wrong side): 1 edge stitch, slip wyif, * p4, slip wyif *; repeat from * to *; end with 1 edge stitch.

Row 3: 1 edge stitch, * skpo, k2, yo, k1 *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, 1 edge stitch.
Row 5: 1 edge stitch, * skpo, k1, yo, k2 *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, 1 edge stitch.
Row 7: 1 edge stitch, * skpo, yo, k3 *; repeat from * to *; end with k1, 1 edge stitch.
Row 9: 1 edge stitch, k1, * yo, k3, k2tog *; repeat from * to *; end with 1 edge stitch.
